I have found a guy who is going to sell me a running 55 235, but it is coming out of a car. Every thing else should be fine.

Everything fit including the stick shift flywheel, bell housing & trans. Only differences were the 235 exhaust outlet angled toward the back (I ended up using the 216 manifolds) and the pivot pin for the gas pedal bell crank was in a different spot on the block. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 334 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 334 | Yes,it will easily bolt in. If the car engine has the lower water pump, you can use an adapter plate and the water pump from your truck engine. You most likely will have to switch the plate that is bolted on the front of the block, as it may not be the correct one for a front engine mount - you can switch it with the one from your truck engine (that's what I did when I replaced my 54 3100's 235 with one from a 53 car with an auto transmission).

This will, in no way. effect the way the motor fits.
