i am not sure what you are asking but if you want to see pictures of a hook up with a heat plate and tubes to heat the carbs look at my webshots at the bottom of this post. th heat plate came from the stovebolt engine co. ron

Thanks Ron -

The carbs have a thermostatic spring for the autochoke and need to get heat from the manifold. I'm looking for a way to get the heat to the carbs without cobbling up something ugly and rigging it to my Fenton's.....functionality is primary but the look is a large part of my goal. frown

i have one reg. rochester and one with an auto choke. i just plug all the holes and used a manual choke on the first carb. i got the second carb free and still havn't replaced it. someday????? ron

The HELP line of automotive Products made a choke stove for tubular headers at one time. It was a small tin unit and came with a length of aluminum tubing and woven a heat shield sleeve. It attached to the header with a band clamp. Mounted on the back side it didn't look too bad. It may be worth looking into, if they still make it.

I have a 235 out of a 59 chev car. It has a band around the exhaust manifold with a tube going to the carb. This is a factory set up, so you might find one at a swap meet.
