Hello, I have been lurking for a few weeks and just purchased a 51 half-ton.I am going to go pick it up Friday with my friends roll back. The old owner parked it in his garage and went through a nasty divorce and it hasn't been moved/ran in 3 years.Hopefully late Friday night it will come to life .Wish me Luck.... thumbs_up

Good luck when you pick up your pickup. Good to have you join us. Welcome. BTW, to my knowledge, you can simply replace your grill without too much finaggling.

Well, I picked it up yesterday and I am glad to get it home in one piece. While driving down the interstate with the Bolt on the rollback the passenger side door came open and then Blew open !

WE were able to then tie the door to the steering wheel and did the same with the drivers side.I hope someone learns from my mistake that when towing or transporting a old car to always put a catch rope of some type on your doors. I had checked and locked the doors before the trip , but I guess the vibration shook it open.

I am glad I have a cheap body man javascript:void(0)

Great to hear that you got it home, too bad about your door. I am guessing that you must have had the truck loaded backwards, and that's how it was damaged.

Welcome to the "Bolt"

John

And yes the truck was pulled out of a garage and put on the

I did it get it running last night so now that dent isn't quite as big thumbs_up
