Is it getting spark, and do the injectors spray during cranking? If so, it's working like it's supposed to. If it was squirting gas before you crank the engine it would flood. Try a 12 volt test light, to the "tach" terminal of the distributor cap. It should flash rapidly when the engine is cranked. If not, you've either got a bad module or pickup coil in the distributor. In that case, there will also be no spark, along with no spray.

If this relay fails, the Control Module senses the fault and provides +12 volts from another source (I believe from the oil pressure sensor, once oil pressure is detected). | | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 12 Member | | Member Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 12 | Some gm v8's have a ninth injector that sprays a constant spray of fuel into the manifold only while starting. Maybe it's screwed up?
