This has been proposed in many states. and has been around for a long time. California has been putting this on the books every year for more than 12 years.

Very few people will take advantge. The price for scrap is very low right now.

California about 12 years ago was trying to pass a law that would stop a car/truck over 25 years old from being Reg.

These things will not pass on their own. They have to attach it to another bill. and then the issue is to notify the public.

Thanks for posting the info. but, IT is nothing New.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Yes, It is good to continue to do that. It will be a never ending law issue. The only way to combat that is to get the law righter to install a protection that would NOT allow it to be applied to autos Prior to 75 for example then move the year up every once in a blue moon.

The goal is to get rid of the 1980's and up. There is alot of issues because of the computer hardware braking down. People are NOT replacing these parts and the car can become unsafe. or air bags going off because of voltage spikes. This is happening more and more and causing accidents.
