For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 95 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 95 | Hi! I've been looking at this site for a long time, but had a little trouble getting registered, only because of my poor computer skills. Thanks to my wife I finely get to say hello. She's the computer guy in the family.Anyway I'd like to thank every one involved with this site in advance for all the good advice, tips and ideas you have given me in the past.I'am about at the half way point on my project,a 1951 GMC 3/4 ton long bed. I believe this to be a old Patricks truck because of the non-stock modifications, "235", saginaw 4 speed, 3:55 rear and dual exhaust (nice welding job on the exhaust manifold!).I bought it 2 years ago not far from where I live in northwest New Jersey. The only other clue I have to the trucks past was a decal in the quarter windo that said "Classic Chevys of San Diego",I tried to contact them with out luck.As so many of these stories go the previous owner bought it on a whim on E-bay had it shipped east, drove it long and hard enough to turn a decent driver in to a decent restorable and then lost interest. Thats when I relieved him of it and started the rebuild. Its comming along well, but still have alot to do,and questions to ask! Thanks Stovebolters, Jimmy

I've never known anyone who owned a whole truck from Patrick's. Neato. I'll check around and see if any one we know in San Diego knows of "Classic Chevys of San Diego" & what happened to them. Good to have you here. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 95 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 95 | Thanks for the very warm welcome. I have lots of pictures I would like you all to see. My wife only knows how to send pics thru our e-mail. Can someone tell us how to post them on this sight? | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 323 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 323 | The IT Short Bus section covers issues having to do with our computers. I snagged this (click here) from over there. It is the first step in posting pix here, the rest is a piece of cake Most of us don't like WebShots much anymore (too many pop-ups), even though we still have accounts. I have Photobucket (it's free too, so are many others) and am very happy with it and recommend it. Looking forward to seeing your | | |
