At least i thought I did ... What I need is for someone who has one on their truck to tell me if the filter fits snuggly in the glass bowl or rattles around inside the bowl ...Some one mentioned somewhere maybe it need a spring to hold it down.. I found one in about 15 minutes going through their boxes of springs. It was a little tall, but a quick snip with the pliers and viola! I got it at my local shop its from carter, apparently they still make them the # is 30-82.. the one from chevy was probably an ac 124. There was guy on ebay selling the same thing but he wouldn't tell me the #... Both use different filters and springs.

Carter (revised June 1955) lists the Ceramic filter element for the
standard glass bowl, filter #30-60, spring #61-379.
compact glass bowl, filter #30-76, spring #61-518

The paper replacement filters for the standard glass bowl are available. I just purchased the Purolator filter, gasket included, at Advanced Auto for just $2.69.
