It is almost identical to the hydrovac article available on this website. The one thing the article doesn't mention is the order of the 3 big disks and the leather washer. In his article he didn't disassemble it. I did and forgot to take a picture. Can anyone tell me which order they go back together? Which way does the leather go?

When I disassembled it, there was a very thick layer of very black, but fresh looking grease, on the cylinder wall on the opposite side of the big spring. Should I apply more grease when I reassemble it?

Shoot me an email an Ill get them off to you. [email protected]As far as lubricating them, I used mineral oil on mine. You dont want to use anything that has a direct petroleum base. You could also use a thin synthetic, like a corn based oil. Youll want to avoid any thick oils.
