of a 1935 chevy 1\2 ton pickup. This truck was built sometime after May of 1935. It has the high cab and hydraulic brakes. The 207 engine was not repairable but I was able to get a good 216 that I have rebuilt. The problem is the bell housing from the 207
does not match the holes on the 216. Easy fix, use the bell housing from the 207! That would be good except anyone who has a 35 or 36 knows that the brake and clutch peddle assembly plus the master cylinder shelf all mount to the side of the bell housing.
Has anyone done this conversion? Could really use some ideas.

There are quite a few posts that may be of use to you. What I have decided to do is change to a 38 housing and clutch. that way I get rid of the week throwout bearing and have something that is easier to adjust. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 684 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 684 | When you find that bell housing you will need the cross member out of a 37 or later frame to make the swap easier.
I put a '41 216 engine and tranny in a 1933 truck and this worked for me. You will also need to make a plate to support the front engine mount as the 216 is a shorter engine then the 207.
