Blackjack, I have a 62 w/ torsion bars, 235, sm420 w/gear vendors O.D. I recently finished rebuilding my entire suspension. Well...mostly. New inner and outer tierods, pitman arm, idler arm, upper and lower ball joints, rear trailing arms, rear springs, front and rear shocks, rebuilt steering box, and of course, new hardware and all poly bushing. That helped reduce the amount of leaning I was getting on the corners. What helped even more than that was adding 16" wheels w/ good radial tires. To keep the wheels looking stock, I had original centers w/ clips for my hubcaps welded to reverse offset outers (tie rod clearance is an issue). I've also been looking for a sway bar that will work and all I've found out is that you have to buy one that is close and then have it "retrofitted" to your torsion bar setup. I believe that you're lower A-arms already have a hole that can be used. It is directly across from the lower mount of the shock absorber. But again, I also believe the bar would have to be resized somehow to fit your truck. This is hearsay, I would love to actually see one that has been done. Anyone got pics?
BTW, I am also building a 261 to relieve the 235. I have the machine work done including decking the block, boring and honing, and balanced the rods/pistons as well as the crankshaft assembly and flywheel. I've been waiting for more than a year for the guy who will assemble it. I hope your engine project goes faster!
