| | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 13 | I was removing the rear fenders from my 1950 suburban and broke off most of the bolts holding them on. Does any one have a good Idea of how to get them out without doing major damage to the bolt hole.

Get a can of Aerokroll, spray liberally leave for several days and spray again. Then grab the bolts remains witha vice grip and they should turn out. I even used it on a pitman arm and didn't need a wheel puller. If that doesn't do it or you can not grag the remains of the bolts with grips, spray again and drill out center of bolt and use an easy out. Good luck to you. Richard

Man, all mine twisted off on the panel and I gave up. The body man is going to cut the old ones out, and put in metal with new bolts welded to the back. Says its not a big deal. Since he was offering and we had already agreed on teh price I figure why should I worry.
