I have a 1967 C-10 w/ 4 wheel drums.
Can I just go to a local parts store and buy a loaded power booster for a '67 (W/ master attached) and bolt on to non-power brake pedal assembly. ($94)
Or do I need to spend $300 on the Performance Online's kit #1667?
What's the difference?
Is the stopping difference noticeable with the power setup, keeping the drums in place?
The brakes seem inadequate, especially with a load in the bed.
I am concerned with functionality, this is a Farm work truck, defiantly not for show.
Thanks in advance, Jeff

i would think if you go to the stock power disc in the front it would be more than adequate ,might be able to find a donor truck for most of the part's needed !

I'll try to take a pic of my pedal assembly tomorrow if you'd like. Not really sure if it'll help but mine has power drum brakes and they work good.

Yes, you shuld be able to do that. You may have to change the pushrod from the pedal to the booster, I beleive they are different.

I did one on a '67 half ton 25 years ago. Seems to me I just put the vacuum boost unit with master cylinder on the truck. Might have replaced the pedal rod as well, but I've slept a few times since then.
