For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2008 Posts: 1 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2008 Posts: 1 | I have a 1967 C-10 w/ 4 wheel drums. Can I just go to a local parts store and buy a loaded power booster for a '67 (W/ master attached) and bolt on to non-power brake pedal assembly. ($94) Or do I need to spend $300 on the Performance Online's kit #1667? What's the difference? Is the stopping difference noticeable with the power setup, keeping the drums in place? The brakes seem inadequate, especially with a load in the bed. I am concerned with functionality, this is a Farm work truck, defiantly not for show. Not really sure if it'll help but mine has power drum brakes and they work good. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Yes, you shuld be able to do that. You may have to change the pushrod from the pedal to the booster, I beleive they are different.

Seems to me I just put the vacuum boost unit with master cylinder on the truck. Might have replaced the pedal rod as well, but I've slept a few times since then. | | |
