The rocker arm shafts were worn on my 235 when I rebuilt it, NAPA had no trouble finding new ones for me.

This is normal for the older (low pressure) engines.
Good (used) sets are around cheap and in the later 235/261 are the same. You might find some new sets too.
Either way; $560 is way to much money, so "go shopping"..

You still haven't told us what engine you have??? Hopefully it's not a 30's ford V8, then we'd all look pretty stupid right now...

I have enclosed a link to a CSK (Kragen) page that shows the replacement rocker shaft along with it's price. Or, both?  $21 plus shipping (per shaft) - use part number RS602 on the Parts America page (linking to their parts in their catalog does not work). The Jim Carter price on this item (which was posted a few days ago) is a good enough price, even with shipping. I bet if someone finds a NAPA part number, the cost will be higher there (and, my local NAPAs now charge shipping if it is not in a local warehouse). They could not tell me if that was an assembly or shaft only. In fact they couldn't tell me anything except that they were available and the price. So I bought one from Rock Auto Parts online on a Tuedsay, had it on Thursday and paid $14 for it. You can see the parts they offer in their engine listing.
NAPA is my source of last and most expensive resort.
