Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do if this truck is stored for 5 to 6 months in northern Arizona. I used to store this truck up north for the winter, No problem there.

Thanks
Larry Wilke

Hi Larry, you don't say if your truck will be inside or out,but as Joe said, a cover might not be a bad idea.
I'd be tempted to place it on jackstands to avoid the tires 'flatspotting'
Maybe open the cowl vent a tad, just to allow some air circulation.
I wouldn't open any windows in case some critters get in!

The truck will be stored in a insulated garage (no air conditioning). I plan on using jack stands. I was wondering about the engine, gaskets etc drying out. I had a cover for the truck.

the last bit of gas you keep in her should be of good quality like chevron ethyl high test and only a gallon (or two). make sure it runs thru the carb before the final shutdown. along w/ a touch of stabil. make sure the oil was changed too. that way when you go to restart it and put say 5gal in the 6 mo. old mixture is not so 'stale'.

put a 1/4 of gas in a dish outside and watch it for a couple days.

I'd also throw a few mothballs in the cab, engine compartment and a couple along the frame rails.
These seem to do a good job of keeping the unwanted squatters out.
