Does anybody have any notion of what the list price might have been for a 1951 3100 w/216 engine and no options, or maybe a website where I could find it? Just looking for a rough idea (my insurance guy asked).

$1406

You can go to www.nadaguides.com and follow the _links_ to Classic Cars, then Truck, Van & SUV, then Chevrolet, 1951.... They list current resale values but also have the original MSRP on the page too. Hope this helps.

I have an original salesmans book with handwritten price notes dated 1/10/51. If you send me the options I can send you the total price as of that date. It must have some equipment on it many things you think are not options were then.

Thank you both! Brad, I'll send you the options and we'll see how close it is to the $1406 on the NADA site.

My 1949 1300 (Canadian half ton) listed for $1185 if I recall in my price list handbook. Options were extra and delivery charges for those were added.
