I tried to remove the parking light to rewire them as turn signals. Once I unscrewed the chrome I could not get it out from under the grill. Is there a trick to removing the parking light and lense or is my truck unusual. I thought I could just unscrew it and unscrew the lense and they would come out but there tucked under the grill and very tight. Any suggestions?

On mine I had to loosen up some of the bolts holding the grill close to the parking lights and a few of the bolts in the cross bars to get some flex, so I could get mine out and in without damaging anything.

Do you use your parking lights as turn signals? It also seems like all the wires are hiddern behind the inner fender.This little job has suddenly turned in to a pain in the tush.

If you remove the two nuts that hold the housing to the grill, you should be able to rotate the housing and wiggle it out without scratching anything.

In order to make them into turn signals, you need to remove the bulb socket and install a double pigtail and buy a dual filament bulb.
