Hello fellow Bolters,
Can anyone share with me a source for bed roll LED brake/tail lamps that don't cost $110 a pair?

Do a search in the Electrical forum - there have been a number of homemade solutions posted there over the years.

Well, I didn't find anything, but I'm new to the forums and maybe I'm just a dumb goober. I entered "LED" and "Bed roll lights" into the search and didn't come up with my answer. Maybe later. Thanks anyway.

I was lucky, my wife bought me a pair of Hotlitze as a gift!
I got amber ones to use as turn signals (UK requires Amber turn signals) Plus it was nearly $2/£ exchange rate at the time!
I didn't want to clutter the rear of my truck with extraneous lights. A lot of folks here that run U.S. motors fit extra lights that look gawdawful!

To Jockbolter, "Thank you" for the nice welcome. Yes you were very lucky, and you married well. The best kind of lights are free lights. I, however, am asking my wife and sons for a portable GPS for Christmas. Hopefully, I'll be so lucky. Thanks, again!

Got 'er done

P.S.: Sweetie's really clean. My Belle ('58 Apache) has a non-gloss finish too. Check her out when the pics come up in the gallery. Her previous lucky owner painted her with rolled on Rustoleum. She's kind of unique.

This is what I made from simple items available to all from your local 'flaps'. I used two pieces of PVC, a glue gun, silicon and wire.

I enjoyed seeing your Vincent. I'm a rider, myself, and very much love seeing that someone has saved a classic motorcycle from ending up in the scrap yards. She's a beauty!

Caroline, is that your Indian motorcycle too? NICE!

I really like Caroline & Jims approach to the bed roll lights as I used the $100 aluminum one and had to tear them all down and put all 4 on the lathe and mill each to fit in its designated hole.
