It is a 235, and should be a hydraulic cam engine. Generally speaking, solid (truck) vs. hydraulic (passenger) lifters is the main difference, depending on year. Some years, an automatic equipped car would have a different cam and a bit higher compression for more power to make up for losses in the trans. Otherwise, they are essentially the same.
According to my research, the Thrift Master name ran from '47 to '62. The Blue Flame name ran rom '50 ('50-'52 on Powerglide only)-'62.

As stated by LONGBOX55, the Blue Flame Sixes were put in Powerglide-equipped cars, and all but the Corvette Blue Flame sixes had hydraulic lifters. Here is a Blue Flame 115 and the 1953 Blue Flame 125. Here is a standard 106 hp Thrift-King 1953 automobile 235.The 1955 Blue Flame Sixes in automobiles (not Corvettes) produced 123 or 136 hp. As I looked at the throttle linkage it is different from what I have. I believe that I may have bought and will put one of these engines in my 55 2nd. I need to find the swing arm between the push rod from the gas peddle and the vertical rod up to the carburetor.
I need to put this request in the parts wanted section. Can anyone help me with description?
