I have a question about the front end. I dont really like the grill on the 49 but love the grill on the 54..Can I change out the front fenders to 54's and use the 54 grill and keep my 49 hood? any help would be great. I will take a stab at this, though not a pro at sheet metal interchangability. The hoods are said to be the same. I think the fenders and all related parts need to be changed as a unit. Although some of the parts may interchange.
