Hey guys, is it tough to rebuild rochester b or should I send it out to be done.

It is the simplest to do as carbs. go. If you have any mech. expertise it should be no problem. Do not try to take the throttle or choke plates or shafts out. Make shure the power valve moves up & down & kicks the ball off the seat. Make shure there is a passagway in the base gasket for thr vacuum hole in the bottom of the carb to get vacuum from the manifold.

I have had very good results with Daytona Parts Co. rebuilding carbs in the past. Google Daytona Carburetors. You might get lucky and put a kit in it and be OK. Usually these old carbs are worn to the point that the throttle shafts have to be bushed along with other machine work for a first class job.

I just got done rebuilding mine and it was SUPER easy! This website helped a lot too (considering I lost my instructions. DOH!)
