Greetings folks,

I'm not a web genius , but nonetheless have started a web site regarding my 1964 Chevy C60. I have the basic layout done and also some data entered into certain "pages".

I'd welcome some feedback on what I have completed so far? Specifically, things like content, fit and form, ease of viewing, navigation simplicity, etc. So, take a peek at Burgie\'s new web site and let me know what you think .

Further, if you are a medium duty owner and wish to see certain information added, or have your own site that I can add to my "links" page, please let me know by sending me an e-mail at burgie1996@earthlink.net.

Again, this is just in the beginning stages, and I have lots of other specs and data that I will be entering...but I thought I'd send it out for "beta" review from my friends that will be looking at it most

Looks good to me. My site will only let me use pre-formatted pages, so I can't make them look much different than than what you see there.

I will be doing more to the site this weekend. Tomorrow night I will send a formal e-mail to John and Peggy asking that they post my site on Stovebolt and announce it in the March newsletter!!

Clean layout, and I like the navigation buttons at the top. I'm guessing you'll get more content on those pages as you get deeper into the project. This is much better than the template-driven junk offered by many hosts, and if you don't have a bandwidth cap (like GeoShitties, et al) then others can access your research any time.

I was wondering if all that info you provided in your posts here was going to have a static URL to call home. Nice work.

You are correct. I have to use the "template driven junk", I guess only because it is a free part of my subscription service. I had a nice page a couple of years ago with Homestead.com, but they decided to charge $10.00 per month. I didn't feel like paying it, but I did have a fantastic site, which could be formatted any way I wanted. Best - Ted

One thing that makes websites easier to read is to increase the margins. You don't want to use the full page. Studies have shown it is too hard for people to move their eyes down such long sentences. So, increase your margins/indent and it will look cleaner.
