Has anybody got aftermarket headlight bezels for an AD truck to find they use some odd looking wire clips to hold them in. I'm trying to figure out how these work.

I got new bezels and wires for mine from JimCarters. The wires aren't made "exactly" like the old ones but they will work.
I was lucky....my old ones were still intack including the wires of which let me see how they go. Plus I was able to salvage a couple of the old ones.

EDIT: I would have to dig them back out to confirm this but I do remember that two of them were "odd" in that they were made different to go over where the bezel came together and it seems like one like that at the top.
It would be a day or two but if you need me to I will climb up in the attic and get them so I can take a picture or two and send you.

I am in same predicament as Terence. Does anyone have some pics of how they are supposed to be installed?

I assume that we are talking about the trim rings for the headlights. There are a series of spring clips, three I believe. They hold the rubber gromment in place around the healight. The top spring also anchors the trim ring to a slot in the top of the headlight pot. I bought stainless trim rings and the lip on the inside is very small and the clips don't work very well on them.

Steele Rubber Products sells a replacement rubber seal. As usual for Steele, this is expensive (but it works very well).

You'll have to search the catalog for your year and look for the part (I cannot find a part number search feature).

my new bezels came with the springs and a diagram showin how they install correctly & hold the rubber seal, they are a BUGGER!...ya need 3 hands ...but once ya figure it out they work OK.
Mine came from Chevy parts of america.....(chevy duty)

Wow, I'm surprised at the replies. I didn't remember the wire clips back when I took off the old bezels, but that was a while back and my memory is good but short. Since they are obviously belong all i need is a picture or diagram of how they should be installed as i don't have my old ones for reference, and nothing came with my new one's, just the bezels and clips in a plastic bag. My main confusion is that one of the clips must somehow go into that small slot in the top of the headlight bucket to hold the top of the bezel on, besides just the screw at the bottom. I guess if someone could post something like that here it would help out both myself and 49bourbon. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.

Classic parts of america, or chevy duty, has a picture of how to put those bezels together. I found it of course, after sitting and diddling with the bezels for an hours or so trying to figure it out.
