For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 615 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 615 | Well yesterday I painted up the intake/exhaust manifold and today I carefully glued a new gasket in place, fitted up the manifold and lovingly torqued it up...after admiring my progress I cleaned up and stumbled on the alaignment rings sitting in a tin can. I know some have run the engine without them but I took the manifold back off-screwing up the gasket that was glued on..Ordered another on line..bottom line..todays progress was wiped out..Nothing like wasting a day..
There...now I feel better..

I dropped a tool into the trans, it went all the way to the bottom. I played hell all day trying to get it out. Finally had to pop the side cover, waisted most of the day on it. Everything looks good and is working has it should, some times, Iam my own worst enemy! :-) Had to laugh at myself. Happy 4th weekend..

My wife reminds me all the time that I'll prolly get it right the 3rd time!
