Well yesterday I painted up the intake/exhaust manifold and today I carefully glued a new gasket in place, fitted up the manifold and lovingly torqued it up...after admiring my progress I cleaned up and stumbled on the alaignment rings sitting in a tin can. I know some have run the engine without them but I took the manifold back off-screwing up the gasket that was glued on..Ordered another on line..bottom line..todays progress was wiped out..Nothing like wasting a day..

There...now I feel better..

I know what you mean Keith, I was messing around with my trans - just checking stuff, abit of a paranoid. I dropped a tool into the trans, it went all the way to the bottom. I played hell all day trying to get it out. Finally had to pop the side cover, waisted most of the day on it. Everything looks good and is working has it should, some times, Iam my own worst enemy! :-) Had to laugh at myself. Tom

Yup-Me too...Like when I decide to try and close 1 more pinhole in the sheet metal and blow a 1/4 inch hole in it...then spend the rest of the day moving that hole around..sometimes you need to know when it's good enough!

Happy 4th weekend..

Yep, sometimes we are our own worse enemy. My wife reminds me all the time that I'll prolly get it right the 3rd time! (not always though).

These things happen many times over. It just makes us appreciate things more when they go right!
