I've searched and searched, I can't find my bookmark for a web page that had listed serveral compatible late model wheels that are compatible with AD trucks or it stated their #lugs/spacing, center diameter, wheel size, backspacing and width.

Does anyone have such a bookmark?

Specifically, I found a set of Alum Alloys for a 2001 Chevy 1500 and was wondering if they will work on my '54 3100.

I don't think they will fit-- the backspacing is wrong-- try them (with a tire mounted)-- I found that the rear tires rubbed the bed-- didn't try the front ones but I've heard there is a problem with tie rod interference. The only chance you might have is if you find 215 or 225 series tires.

sfsutton: others will come along later with more info but I have read many times that the 6lug wheels off the earlier Blazers and the Surburbans will work. I think it was wheels off the 4x4 Blazers and all you have to do is change the center caps.

The earlier sixties model 6 lugs will work and is what I currently have on the 52panel.

As for the tie rod there is an aftermarket that will work and give you some room for more offset and bigger tires but when I checked several months ago they were rather expensive. I had the part number somewhere aroung here.

A lot of wheels will fit....my son in laws Toyota wheels will fit and look nice but I didn't have the front hubs on to check a front tire. I've heard some Mazda wheels will work but then I heard there is problems there. Either back spacing/tie rod problems or maybe it wss the bolt pattern off some???

This should get you started until someone else comes along. I do think the earlier Blazers and Surburbans is the way to go and that the rally type look good on an AD. I'm not sure what the years but I "think" up until 87 or maybe later on the Blazer?

the Chevy K5 Blazer "Rally" Steel wheels do work on AD trucks, I have them fitted on mine. They're 15" x 8" rim width.

Up to '87 4x4 wheels will work, 3 1/2" backspace, 0 mm offset. You can use wheels off of a Japanese truck, they will physicly bolt up, but the tire will rub the drag link on a left turn, especially if you have anything wider han a 225 tire. The late model 1/2 ton and light 3/4 ton 6 lug wheels won't work, the backspace is too deep, nor will the wheels from the Colorado/Canyon (right bolt patters, but even deeper backspace), and the Trailblazer/Envoy wheels use not only a deeper backspace, but have a different bolt circle size.

Thanks for the feedback, I need to just cool my heels. I really don't want 6 lug wheels, because the "Grand Plan" is 5 on 4.75 all the way around. It's just these later model wheels look good and are attactively priced and would look good until I change everything to 5 on 4.75.
