I've finally got the shop cleaned and somewhat organized so........ Big Orange, as of yesterday went under the knife or more correctly the wrench. I have no idea how long this will take but I'm doing a complete and original restoration hopefully better than from the factory, which shouldn't be too hard. I'll post photos as I go along. Wish me luck!

Made some good progress today. Got the front end off in pieces, not as a clip. Also got a bunch of smaller stuff off. I'll have some pictures on Saturday.

Good luck Bruce...I've been tearing mine apart now for the past 2 1/2 years. It doesn't even look like a truck anymore with all the pieces/parts hanging from the ceiling and hiding in boxes under the bench. It's a labor of love!

Hey Ron, I hear ya! I'm not going to impose any time frame on this. That would take the fun and probably discourage me at some point. I'm going to tackle the body work myself which should be interesting. After reading the posts in the paint forum, I think I'll be able with their help and suggestions to get it done. So far so good.

Bruce,
just a ? could you change your post color to somethin other than red ?? I use the dark background format on the Bolt as the original is WAY TOO BRIGHT for my old eyes...an your red is ALL but not readable..it blends right in with the background.

Hi Bruce, Love the big ole' Bolt! Good luck on your journey!
Good to see you haven't put a time frame on it. If you set dates I Guarantee you'll never meet them!
When it's done it's done!!
I get it all the time....When's the truck gonna be ready?
Answer; Whenever!

Bruce...I'd have to agree with SW about the color. I have the dark background too and I'm extremely color blind. I have to put my face about 5" away from the screen!

Thanks buddy.

What dark background??? The reason I use the dark red is so my eyes can see it on the white background. Where do you find the dark one?

Use "Bills easy on the eyes" and the text looks black.

This is not the place to be discussing backgrounds and text colors. Looks like this topic has run it's course.
