I am doing a slight upgrade restoration on my '50 3100. I have '51 Bendix brakes in front, '59 rear axle and brakes. I am about to order brake lines. I know that there is a difference between '50 and '51 lines and also master cylinder. Should I purchase '50 lines and MC, or '51 lines and MC? What are the difference between the two setups in regard to lines and MC only? Thanks in advance,
Steve O

I don't know about the specific differences, but you might think about bending your own lines. It's pretty easy to make them look good, and it's pretty cheap for the tools and lines. You just need a tubing bender, cutter and flare tool.

If you are going through the bother of replacing the MC, you might as well convert it to a modern dual one. If you don't want to the original will work just fine, the only differance is (I think) the line connection, which can be converted with brass block parts available from your flaps.

I'm pretty sure that the only differance you need to worry about is how the hoses connect to the wheel cylinders.

I had original Huck brakes on the front of my '50 and changed them to Bendix last year. Bought SS lines throughout and a new MC (single, not dual).

Fun project to say the least.
