I was actually on that site looking for a the rear shocks for my 52 panel.
Heres the scoop: I work part time at Advance Auto Parts delivering parts for their commercial accounts. Well, I was checking into shocks for my panel at the store and I HAD THE MONROE PART #...which is discontinued as far as the local Advance is concerned.
Well, the commercial guy calls a number to see if its available. He gets put on hold and hands me the phone. A guy comes on the phone and tells me we do not have it BUT that PARTS AMERICA does for 24.99 and gives me the webb site.
Next: I come home that evening and try out the site and sure enough I find the rear shock for 24.99 BUT somewhere on Parts America webb site they actually reference you to ADVANCE AUTO PARTS store along with about 4 others or which I had only heard of about one.
So, I guess they are "affliated" in some way with each other but just what I do not know. Perhaps PA just handles some OLD part #'s that Advance doesn't carry anymore?!
I guss this is "to much info" for such a simple question but its all I know....but its the truth!! ...lol | | |
