Great video, watched it to the end. I have heard that starting fluid will burn the pistons on a diesel but not on a gas engine. Is that true? Is it still ether used? I have to use it a few times a year on an old diesel bus of mine but dread it every time it do it.
Thanks for the for all the good words. It was a long time coming. A couple of years I think all together. The plan is to install it this weekend in my 52 GMC Burb. I got a few more final tuning things to do Satruday. I am hoping to drive it to Huchinson,Ks. next week for the ATHS show and GMC meet n greet. Yes that was starting fluid. I have never heard of that stuff killing a piston in such a small amount. I hope it didn't hurt anything. A little late now though. I gotta hope for the best I guess. KCMongo did the video work for me, and Mike Taylor (of Jim Carters truck parts) handled the fuel and controls for me. I ran it a little later after I got some more fuel and it seemed ok. I will have it at hte All truck Nationals again this year. I am not sure if I will get any body work done, but I want to try. I move slower than I used to. Got too many projects goin on too! Anyway...thanks again for the nice comments. Keep the faith!! Old Bolts forever!!! p.s. here is a much shorter video I took while trying to figure out my new camera. It is only a couple of minutes. I got some small narrative with it. Thats it for now, I don't want to spoil the welcome.
