For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 28 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 28 | Hey guys, I purchased a '60 235 Blue Flame Six to install in my '50 1/2 ton. What are the chances of mating this engine w/ a 700R4? Is it possible? Do the bolt patterns match up? If not, is there a kit that converts it? I know I will need a different cross member and rear diff. to accept the driveshaft....but are there any other obstacles that I may run into? thanks in advance.

This is critical on this trans. It has to be right. You will need a cooler in the radiator or an auxiliary cooler. You will need a shifter, either a later model column or an aftermarket like Lokar. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Pics would be nice if you have done this before.

You are probably going to have to improvise it. An explanation is on www.tvmadeez.com They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. throttle valve cable that is attached to the trans and the linkage on the carb. There is a couple of bowtie sites that explain it | | |
