The brake lines that I ran to the new MC interfer with the tranny to the point I had to remove the side plate on the tranny to get it out. I was wondering how others have handled this. I did go to my local auto parts store and get a small length of brake line and using my bender made the tightess bend I could but it still looks to be in the way. Any thoughts? | | |

I thought I saw some in the "brass cabinet" at the parts store. I could be wrong.

The problem is that you must have a "hard seating" of this fitting and you don't know where it would point after it seats in the MC. When it tightens up, it might be pointing straight up.
I hit every parts store in town (5) before I figured this out.
1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.

One thought is maybe the tubing bender you have is the problem. If so, maybe you can find another or have a garage bend it for you. If there is a custom rod shop in town they would probably be able to do it too.
