I just watched my son drive off to the prom with my 39 Chevy truck. In the 27 years I have owned and labored on this truck, I have been it's only driver. My nerves are in high gear, my hands are shaking, and my stomach is in knots. It’s fully insured and I know the truck is dependable and my son is a good driver. So why I am now light headed?

Prom Tux $ 65.00
Prom tickets $ 50.00
Prom Dinner $ 85.00
Tank of gas $ 32.00
The smile on my son’s face as he drives off with his prom date…Priceless.

I was in Georgia visiting a brother when his third son was graduating from high school. I had a brand new '68 Chrysler 300 Convertible with a 440 V-8 in it. The boy wanted to know if he could take the car to his prom. I let him. His mother had a fit. She said why did I let Ray take my car to the prom. I told her because he wanted to. She told me if he put one scratch on it, she would kill him. The car came home in one piece and I suspect he was one proud young man. If he hadn't taken my car he would have had to take his dad's '61 Bel Air 4-door. I was glad to help out.
