In the 27 years I have owned and labored on this truck, I have been it's only driver. My nerves are in high gear, my hands are shaking, and my stomach is in knots. It’s fully insured and I know the truck is dependable and my son is a good driver. So why I am now light headed? Prom Tux $ 65.00 Prom tickets $ 50.00 Prom Dinner $ 85.00 Tank of gas $ 32.00 The smile on my son’s face as he drives off with his prom date…Priceless.

I had a brand new '68 Chrysler 300 Convertible with a 440 V-8 in it. The boy wanted to know if he could take the car to his prom. I let him. His mother had a fit. She said why did I let Ray take my car to the prom. I told her because he wanted to. She told me if he put one scratch on it, she would kill him. The car came home in one piece and I suspect he was one proud young man. If he hadn't taken my car he would have had to take his dad's '61 Bel Air 4-door. I was glad to help out. | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 | i remember my first time going to prom it was at my ex-girlfriends school in wisconsin and i drove my 78 chevy suburban (32in. tires, 4 in. lift, 350 v-8, SM465 4 spd, and loud exhaust) the whole 5 hours down there so we could take it to prom (thank god gas wasn't $3.50 back then (2005) it was definately a good time and my ex got lots of coments/complements from all the kids at her school bout my old beast one kid even took a picture of it cause a geo metro had parked next to it they a memorys that will never be forgotten when my good buddy and his girlfriend went to prom they took his 74 chevelle and his girlfriend said if he would ever sell his chevelle she wants first dips cause she never wants to forget those memorys Nate | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 Extreme Gabster | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 | OK, Guys, the prom stories go in the Greasy Spoon. | | |
