(maybe spring is here for good, it was 60's last week it snowed saturday when i was turkey hunting, and today was 75 degrees out, our weather is on a roller coster)
anyway i haven't driven the 49 or even started it since early last summer. it looked brown it was covered in so much dust, i couldn't see out the windshield. the battery was dead. and the brakes are gone. i got it started and it ran perfect, but now i need to bleed the brakes. but it kid of lit a fire under me to clean it back up where it shines and looks new and maybe show it a little 1949 Chevy 3600 Flatbed all orginal 1964 gmc 4000 1973 gmc 6000 2005 chevy duramax 4x4 1994 chevy 1500 Trucks are GM and Tractors are Orange "I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom." - General George S. My '47 is always low in the spring, and I just top it off and we're good to go. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 513 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 513 | thanks Rich, i give tht a shot. this was the first time since i bought it, that i stored it the whole winter. 1949 Chevy 3600 Flatbed all orginal 1964 gmc 4000 1973 gmc 6000 2005 chevy duramax 4x4 1994 chevy 1500 Trucks are GM and Tractors are Orange "I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom." - General George S.
