Is it a first-series or second-series (Advance Design) 1947? If it is a second series, my guess is that the 1949 chassis will match.
Let's hope that others who are more knowledgeable will confirm or correct my guess.

As far as the rest of the frame goes and brakes and stuff . . . they are pretty much identical. Parts can be easily adapted to go from one to the other. | | |

I'm not sure if those changes were made before of after '49. :confused: | | |

Tim , These are both AD chassis.
Ken thanks , I forgot about the cab mount bit ,, the early one had 4 point mounts and the later had 3 point ,, is that correct?
I don't know about the gas tank ,, what happens there ?

The '47 also had a hand parking brake while the '49 has a foot pedal parking prake.
The '47 had the gas tank under the bed (no tank in the cab) while the '49 was the first year for the tank in the cab.
I know that the '49 has the link suspension for the rear cab mounts that is similar to at least 50-53's. I "think" the '47 has a central mount in the middle of the back of the cab, but I have only ever looked in passing in wrecking yards as I have never owned a '47 | | |

Here is the rest of the story ,, a guy has a '49 cab and I have a '47 chassis ,, he wants to rod the '49 ,, so I figure I can talk him into these chassis rails when he is going to do so many more changes ..
