I have finally have got my truck home, and have got the bug again. I have brought it home sandblasted, etched primed and painted underneath. I have started painting a lot of the small bits, which include all the bonnet bits.
I purchased the stainless bolts and screws and put it together. Looking at the bonnet i noticed 3 holes either side and 1 hole in the centre seam. I've looked at a couple of suppliers catalogues and nothing. I would believe that the 3 holes either side are for rubber stoppers, but the 1 hole in the centre has me baffled. The strip on top covers the hole. Maybe something hung from the centre, like a light? Could the bonnet be from another year?
Thanks
Brendon

It sounds like your talking about the hole formed in the center of the hood flange. I always assumed it was for alignment when the put the two halfs together.

Now we're getting somewhere. But isn't that what the dozen or so rivits or bolts in my case were for?
