Of course they have a split windshield. Other than the windshield trim is differant. Can I place a 1 peice windshield in and use the correct trim for it? Let me know. Tom Project stretch update: As of tommorrow I am going to go get the frame. Engine and tranny are installed taking the frame to another shop to install stainless brake lines stainless exhaust and gas lines. As for the body it has been blocked and blocked and blocked. They are painting the box tommorrow. Will get picture updates. Tom http://community.webshots.com/user/tomy2tone01

They do make one and it looks great. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,026 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,026 | Are you referring to the chrome trim that surrounds the wind shield? I've seen lots of conversions but not one that has the provision for the trim. I'm going to do the one piece windshield myself. I found a deal on a new one for $150.

Hey Joe I remember that day too. I am hoping to have it done for back to the 50's in St paul this year.

I read an article last year where they did one. They added metal to the lip around the opening and then it was glued in like a modern window. It always seems tough to get the finishing bits right. I have seen a few but very few that looked really good. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 205 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 205 | So I probably better stick with the 2 peice. It's not the money, it's the time and effort.
Now who has a picture of the metal that goes between the two peices of the glass? Whan my cab was converted they didn't weld in that strap.

I think it will look real cool!!!
