All attempts to glue it in place have been temporary. The heat seems to softer the glue and it starts separating from the hood.

I didn't want to was the straps on the hood part of the front end bra I bought, so I sewed magnets into. I think there like 40lb pull and are 1in sq. by 1/8in thick.

I assume because of the problem you're facing of the engine heat softening glue.

The push in fasteners Tiny talks about can be found at Tractor Supply for under a buck a piece. Looks like it will have to be the resew job or I might try 3M #90, it comes in a caulk tube. Someone else mentioned it.
