All our school buses, '85 and newer, have the metal floor welded to the bus body which is secured to the chassis. I think you will find yours welded to. I have worked on school bus for the last 15 years here in Missouri, and 99% of them had 3/4 ply wood over the metal floor. The wood is an excellent insulator and sound deadener, but it all so rots easily. I have changed out floor panels from rust out, so the old one was easy to remove. I drilled holes at each bracket and joint, and plug welded the new metal in, its just to dirty to try and weld from the bottom side. Joe
