OK, while searching for parts for my '48, I picked up an S-10 chassis that I have no plans on using. So after buying a cab and front clip from Daryl (Darylbb63) in Denver ( I am picking up this weekend), my automotive-attention-deficit-disorder kicked in. Take the cab, put on S-10 frame, find or make a bed, use the bent rear fenders from the '48, add a motor / trans and I have a second truck. Then a sweet deal on a Cummins 3.3 diesel came my way, so.......2nd AD truck Project is in process with 5-speeds, 4 cylinders of screaming turbocharged diesel and a grin from ear to ear. grin

It helped that I sold my two '40 Chev Deluxe Sedans (at least with the wife). cry

So am I nuts, or just a sufferer of AADD? ohwell

Sounds like a cool project, I saw an AD put on a longbed 4x4 Toyota frame once. That was the best thing that ever happened to that Toyota! I like diesel power, until I go to the pump now days, seems to take a major bite out of my wallet.

OK, I am back now from 2500 miles of staring at a windshield. FYI - Chevrolet Astro Vans make really bad tow vehicles from a mileage standpoint. I would have gotten better mileage from a 20 year old truck.
