Industrial units are a far cry from regular sewing machines. Ive got an old Singer with a custom built table for it and its downright scary. If you can get over the touchiness of the clutch it works great. WAY to fast for my liking, at about 3500 rpms. You dont make mistakes with it, or if you do you only do it once...

I havent done my interior yet as Ive been mostly practicing with it, but it does the job. My wife collects sewing machines and has a few old industrial Singers in her collection. If you shop around you can probably find a good unit at a garage sale.
Good luck, Jeff
