I'm hoping someone might recognize these seats out of some vehicle they have seen or owned...

I've been looking for a pair like this for a while and the guy I'm talking to MAY sell them to me but has no idea what they're out of or their measurements... frown

Since my '37 has such a narrow cab (as well as that pesky seat base/pedestal inside of which the gas tank used to live and seems next to impossible to remove) this is very much an issue, so if anyone can help identify these seats or what they're out of I'd sure appreciate it...

"Buddy" can't get over to measure the seats for me for a couple days and I'd hate to have someone else with a bigger vehicle they would fit come buy 'em before I get a chance to...

What make, model or year are these seats from?

Drivers side is full power including power recliner, lumbar support

Rear view of seats here

Any ideas? I've scoured several leather seat cover sites hoping I'd spot these seats but haven't found anything close... your ideas???

Thanks in advance for your help... smile

The fuel tank riser can be removed if you drill out a bunch of spot welds. I used the original seat in my 37 because all the buckets I tried just didn't fit or sit right. You will have to move them to far forwards at the bottom to get the back to recline in its normal position. You will then find the pedals and wheel will be to close, unless you are really short. If you move the seat bottom back, then the back portion will be to upright and will feel funny as well. You will want to try them before laying down any cash. Rear seats from mini vans are suppose to work or a cut down seat from a later model pickup. With the right foam and rebuild, the stock seat feels pretty good, at least to me anyway. Joe

I have looked at cutting away the fuel tank riser so I have a lot more flexibility as to what I can use, Joe... I'm a bit over 6 feet tall so I need the head room! smile

Looks like I'll pick these up after all so I'm gonna have to make 'em work... all I'm gonna be concerned with now is the width measurement since the cab is so damned narrow and I still have to allow for the e brake which is in the middle... assuming width is ok I'll make 'em fit... the price is right and if by some miracle they don't work I can always sell 'em and get back what I am gonna pay for 'em...

Thanks for the good info on the riser... I hate that damned thing! eek

Never mind... While I still have no idea what these seats were out of they WILL fit... I just went out and bought 'em... $175 for the pair and they look nice! grin

The only thing that could have made it sweeter is that earlier today I sold some other nice vintage bench seats I had in the garage for $175.00 too! That money didn't stay in my wallet long... it was a very quick "pit stop"... LOL wink

I had picked the bench seats up at auction a few months back for only $35 which makes that the "real cost" of these leather power bucket seats I'm gonna use in my truck...

Gotta love it! grin

Trev,
Not that it matters much now, but they look much like the seats in
my wifes Subaru. The adj. bar down in frt is just like her seats.
Ah, you put yapanese seat in Americon twuck, Yes lol

Hey if yapanese fits, yapanese it will have! wink

I'll check online and see if that's what they are... it doesn't matter much but it would be cool to know! Thanks for the info and the chuckle! smile

Hey Joe H...

It looks like I'm gonna take your advice after all and get rid of that damned fuel tank riser after all... I tried the seats in the light of day and they look super BUT there's not a lot of head room to play with being my height... the new seats will almost mount correctly but in order to do it right I think the base has gotta go...

If I leave it the way it is and install the seats on the base, every time I go over railroad tracks or hit a bump I'm gonna knock myself loopy banging the top of my head on the roof... not good! Thanks for the "heads up" (pun intended) on this one... grin
