I need to take the driver side window out of my truck. I know that I need to take the vent window out first, but how exaclty is that done? I just need to replace the glass on the driver side. I can't see any screws or anything, but I know that they must be there. Thanks for the help in advance.

The whole vent window post and window track have to come out as one piece. I think there are 3 or 4 screws around the outside of the door that hold the top of the vent window frame in place, and then one or two bolts behind the door panel that hold the bottom of the window track. I can't recall for sure, but you may have to loosen the rear track as well. Then with the window down, the whole vent window frame, post and track should lift out the top. Hope that helps.

I just hope I was pretty close with my instructions, like I said it's been years since I took one out. I wanted to go out and look at one of my old trucks last night to refresh my memory but I got home too late. Best of luck.

What he said ..renmove the retainin screws around the perimeter of the vent window , down low there is 1 bolt holding the long arm in place , have the window DOWN an the vent window will kickk back to the 30 degree position an pull it up an out. | | |
