I have a question regarding the two paint stripes on the wheels. Does anyone know where I can find a stencil or measurements of just where these stripes are located? Does anyone know of where or whom might paint these stripes on for me, maybe a local paint shop? Thanks in advance for you assistance....Clint

But if you want to try painting them on yourself, go to Finesse pinstriping on the net and buy one of their stencil and paint kits. It's easy a poo to do yourself. I use their kits to lay pinstripes on vintage motorcycles. Works great, and so cheap!
Hope this helps.

Maybe there are circle templates, but I could not find tthem at the link above. I ended up paying a painter to paint on the stripes. He used a Beugler Pinstriper Tool with an 1/8" width tip (some stripes were 3/16" - your choice). I gave him a front-wheel spindle and wheel-hub/brake assembly that he mounted in a vise. He mounted the wheel on the hub and then spun the wheel as he touched the paint brush/tool to the wheel. This gives a nice circle but you have to have a good touch. My painter cursed at me because I had the tires mounted and the stem got in the way of one the stripes (he let out the air and pushed the stem back). You might be able to glean something from it, here is a link: https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/366285#Post366285 Just off hand, if I were striping my wheels I would do it almost exactly as Tim described the process. I would use the front wheel position for my mandrel for all the wheels. I would rig up a steady rest from 2x4’s for my hand. I have a Beugler striping tool and they work ok as long as you have a guide, well suited for the type of stripe your doing or a beltline stripe where you have a crease to guide it. You gotta play around with it a little to get the flow just right, the speed has to be just right. I also have a set of brushes and if the wheel is straight and you can get the wheel to spin consistently at the proper rate I think with a little practice you could us one of them also. I’m thinking some sort of small motor with drive roller mounted to the steady rest and a way of regulating the speed. Getting pretty complicated by now, isn’t it!!! OneShot lettering enamel is the only way to go with the paint. Eastwood carries enough pinstriping supplies for the hobbyist. Then again you could, pay a striper to do it for you like Tim did and have it over with while you grab a burger and a beer. Denny Graham Sandwich, IL

To make a curve or circle, you keep tension on the tape and pull it around to form the radius. With a little practice, anyone can do it. I make very tight curves for motorcycle tanks, fenders, etc. Beats the heck out out paying someone else to do it.....and waiting for it to be done. He has no idea what the originals are supposed to be but he'll copy anything you give him. I let him use my original spare as a pattern and he hand striped my other four perfectly. I don't have his shop's number but I'll send you his cell number via e-mail.

Here are a couple of pics of the double striping job I did some years ago with a lot of small radius bends. I think I figured there was somewhere around 600 feet of striping on this one. I had to lay down five rows of tape to get the two parallel stripes of black OneShot enamel. The scallops mask was outlined with the striping tape also. http://image55.webshots.com/755/4/48/49/2906448490098611668XECJpt_fs.jpg http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2521528800098611668hunZSFYour could spin the wheels and hold a pencil against the wheel to get your two guide lines then use the 3m tape just following the pencil line.
