I look under the dash in the inside and see 3 holes on the inside.However it looks to me the mirror bracket should be mounted with the holes vertically not horizontally.
Any suggestions or pictures would help.

The mirror bracket mounts in a very similar fashion to the driver's side. If you were to remove the glove compartment, you would see the reinforcement plate on the inside with the two holes in it. I took another look and found the other "pilot hole".
It's all mounted and looks great.

when I was your age I was building mini bikes with Briggs & Stratton engines.You should have seen the drive trains.
