What is the best and/or easiest way to remove it? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | Jewellers rouge or mag wheel polishing batting works really well and will not scratch the glass. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 397 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 397 | How about carefully trying small amounts of acetone on a paper towel and rubbing the paint off. Then go back and use regular glass cleaner for a final cleanup. Just be carefull not to drip any acetone on the body!

It will remove overspray, tree sap, etc. without harming theglass or paint finish. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 80 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 80 | I might add that if you use a razor blade, be sure to round off the sharp corners with sandpaper or you could scratch the glass , which would be considerably worse than overspray! | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 | I used meguiar's final inspection and some bodymans clay. You can buy it at automotive paint supplies stores.Spray the final inspection on and lightly rub the clay on it.The clay will remove the over spray without harming the underlying surface. You can remove over spray on painted surfaces as well.It works really great.Heres a link to the final inspection. The glass cleaner acts like shaving cream. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Works pretty good & haven't had a problem with scratches. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,859 Grumpy old guy playing with trucks, cars, and boats | | Grumpy old guy playing with trucks, cars, and boats Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 1,859 |

If it won't come off with thinner or the clay bar, steel wool is safer than the razor blade, to you, and the glass. Good luck

Razor blade for the heavy stuff and next to window frames, though.

My substance abusing bodyman oversprayed by entire truck when he did his final touchup--clay!!! It took it all off of everything with no damage even to new paint. BTW, it does a a gangbuster of a job removing overspray from plastic eyeglass lenses. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | Napalm will do it every time.

I know Lowe's has it (in the paint section). If you can't get that, 3M Adhesive Cleaner is the same thing. It's safe on almost any surface. | | |
