| | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | Yep, You'll see a "GMC Service Parts Idetification Plate". attached to the back of any '47-'55 400 series, & larger GMC Truck glove box lid. Stamped to the right of this plate will be, Trans. Make: Clark, Type: 205V, or 207V, Speed 5DD. If it's a overdrive, it may say, Type: 207VO, Speed: 5OD. Got any pictures of your trucks posted anywhere.

But a 5 spd might be a step up from just the 4. I'll have to look again for the 205 or 207 designation. What's the diff between them anyway?
No, I haven't gotten any pictures yet. I had some developed and placed on a CD rom. Would I be able use those to post somewhere?

The 202, 205, & 207 differed in design, & gear arrangement. You can transfer your pictures, from your computer, to a webshots, or photobucket album. www.webshots.com , & www.photobucket.com .

That is if we don't get any more wind tearing roofs off I have to go patch. Sweeping snow off a 9 in 12 pitch roof and still having to wear spikes is not what I had envisioned doing when I grew up!
