For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 242 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 242 | So I finally got around to taking some pics. I have been detailing the engine compartment and making repairs to the Holmes W-45 wrecker boom. I have finished the preventitive maintenance. Also I have include pics of the Clark dozer. I just installed new leaf springs and rebuilt lift cylinders. If you all remember what the Chevy looked like when I started (it was in pieces) restoring it, then this project will be easier (yeah right :D). Next spring the body will be soda blasted and painted. Once I finish reinstalling the tracks on teh dozer, teh Diamond T will move inside, actually it was better workng on it outside, there is something to be said for a gravel driveway, with all the fluids that were changed during it's PM. http://mysite.verizon.net/vzerpjfs/wwiitruckpicsandrestorationpicsJohn Gott 1942 G5106 1.5-ton Chevy cargo dump Gallery pageOld Dominion Stovebolt Society T/Sgt. I know spanky will apreciate the Holmes twin boom. I thought my Chevy was big, well look at the picture and there is a big differance in size 1942 G5106 1.5-ton Chevy cargo dump Gallery pageOld Dominion Stovebolt Society T/Sgt. Couldn't even guess what color the truck is,mud about 3 inches thick all over it except where the wipers wiped. The smell was horrible.... Speed | | |
