well after mesuring the frame sevral time i found that the d.s side rear corner of the cab was down 15/16 of a inch. i could not find why the cab is solid, the cab mount is good and tight.so i lifted the cab and drilled 2 new mounting holes and now she is level. cool

My whole truck has about 3/4 inch list to the drivers side. I have measured everything twice and cant fine out why. I have air suspension all around and that doesn't appear to be the problem??? Have checked the sway bars, even disconnected them to check still have the probem. Should I just start shiming it up?

Have you measured, on a level pad, to the cab mounts on the frame, then up to the bottom of the cab? You will probably find the cab needs to be shimmed up to fit correctly.

Shims won't correct the cause of the problem. Keep looking and report back if you find the cause. There have been several posts concerning this issue so you are not alone here.

sounds like the braces are shot and shimming them is only a temporary solution. having looked a many parts trucks i have seen the practice of shimming done many times, usually with a piece of wood. if your driving the truck and not wanting to do the major teardown a piece of 1" sq. tubing welded in the cab mount area underneath the floor will stiffen the area up quite a bit. if your a purist, no offense with my bandaid solution.

My 50 pickup cab sits noticeably lower on the right (passenger) side but I'm sure it is from the floor board being rotted out in front of the cab mount. That corner is sagging/drooping down and the cab mount is now a high spot in the floor. You can see it looking straight at the front. The grill is unlevel. The frame is level as good as I can measure. I'm trying to figure out how to jack/raise it up level to make the repair.

more people looked at my truck thinking like 10micron that some structural is bent shot whatever. but my truck is been looked over and is sound no major rust no explanation for the lean i am going to order new rear cab mounts and make all new rubber pads for the spacers and see if that fixes it.and frank50 i put a long peice of wood under my cab corner and made sure to catch a solid part and jacked my cab carefully and watched to make sure my baby was not bending. hope that helps

Hey chev53,
Way easier to hang out at the snack shop and find a "large" woman to ride in the p/s seat..that should solve yer problem...however the "snack bill may be more than some mounts cost smile

When I bought my 50 3600 I noticed the passenger side of the cab sat about 2 inches lower than the drivers side. After crawling under with a flashlight I discovered the front cab mounts had rusted out and the previous owner had jammed lumber between the passenger side frame rail and the cab to keep it from sagging any farther.
Needless to say I ended up pulling the cab off and welding on new cab mounts. Now it sits even.
